Description

|
Competition Equipment
|
Responsible for moving and set-up of equipment for competitions.
|
|
Concession
NOT Required 2009/2010
|
Responsible for selling concession items such as sandwiches, hot dogs and candy. May also sell raffle tickets or QCK merchandise. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will usually be 2 people per shift. Concession workers must be a minimum of 14 years of age.

|
First Aid
|
Responsible for attending warm-up and competition to administer first aid to athletes. Required to have current first aid certificate or other training (RN or medical professional).

|
Hospitality
NOT Required 2009/2010
|
Responsible for preparing and serving food items to judges, coaches and volunteers, as well as keeping the serving and preparation areas clean. The first and last shift will be required to set up and close down the area. May also prepare food for sale at the concession. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will usually be 3 people per shift

Judging - QCK Competitions
|
Responsible for judging two sessions at a QCK competition. The Judging Coordinator will assign these positions from the pool of QCK judges.
|
|
Judging Coordinator – Men’s & Women’s
|
Coordinate the scheduling of respective Judging activities for QCK. Receive directions from the Head Coaches on number of judges required for each competition QCK attends and schedule sufficient judges. The coordinator should be an experienced judge.

|
Master of Ceremonies
|
Responsible for doing all announcing for one session (about 5 hours) of the QCK competition. Following a script provided by the meet Director, the MC introduces the athletes, makes special announcements, announces rotation changes, and announces results at the end of the session. At the women's competition the MC assists with playing the floor music.

|
Minor Officials – Flashers
|
Responsible for sitting with the judging panel and displaying the athletes' scores to spectators and officials. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will be four to six flashers required per session. Normally QCK athletes who are not competing fill these positions.

Minor Officials - Out of Bounds
|
Responsible for watching for out of bounds on the high-level floor routines. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will be two out of bounds officials required per session. Mature athletes or adults are required for these positions.

Minor Officials – Scorers
|
Responsible for sitting with the judging panel and tabulating the scores that are provided by each judge and ensuring that the scores are recorded accurately and provided to the flasher and results person. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will be four to six scorers required per session. Mature athletes or adults are required for these positions.

Minor Officials – Timers
|
Responsible for sitting with the judging panel and timing the warm-ups and events. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will be four to six timers required per session. Normally QCK athletes who are not competing fill these positions.

|
Music (mature athlete)
|
Responsible for coordinating and playing the Women's floor routine music. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will be one person per shift.
|
|
Registration/Door
|
Responsible for taking door admissions at the QCK competition. Is responsible to sell or supervise sale of raffle or draw tickets. Each position runs for one session of a meet and there will usually be two people per shift.

|
Results/Media Relations
|
Responsible for data entry, calculation and printing of competitive results under the direction of the Results Coordinator during men’s and women’s competitions. Each position runs for one session.
