Recreational - CANGYM Skills.

Class Skills

These are some  of the skills that will be included in the following classes

Parent & Me

  Beam - Walking forwards, backwards, and sideways.

  Bars - Toe touches, bear walks on p-bars, hanging/swings.

  Floor - Log rolls, locomotions, forward rolls down incline.

  Vault - Walking up and down stairs, climbing up and down boxes.

  Trampoline - Straight jumps, shape jumps (tuck, pike, straddle, star), seat drops.

  Motor Abilities - Rolling, throwing, and catching a ball.

Tumble Tots

  Beam - Forward, backward, sideways walks, hopping, walking on higher beams.

  Bars - Hanging, toe touches, shaped hangs (tuck, pike straddle); animal walks on p-bars.

  Floor - Log rolls, jumps, forward rolls.

  Trampoline- Shaped jumps, seat drops.

Tumble Bugs 1 & 2

  Vault - Jump and squat onto low box, motorcycle landing off box, shape jumps off box, 2 foot jumps onto low mat and up and down heights, hurdle onto carpet.

  Bars - Front support, toe touches, Skin the Cat, front support roll over bar.

  Beam - Walking forwards, sideways, and backwards, medium beam walk F,S,B, walking over objects, bunny hops.

  Floor - Forward roll down incline to stand, backward roll down incline to knees, baby cartwheel over box.

  Trampoline - Controlled jumping, stop bounce, shape jumps and seat drops, 1/2 turn, hand and knee drop, seat drop with proper hand placement.

Tumble Bugs 3 & 4

  Vault - Hurdle onto board, jump and squat onto waist-height box from run, backward jump from low box, tight body fall onto mat, straddle squat onto waist- height box from a run, handstand against wall, jump 1/2 turn off box to motorcycle landing.

  Bars - Three casts, cast dismount to motorcycle landing, pullover assisted.

  Beam - Two foot jumps on medium beam, skips, locomotions, tiptoe walking, turn preparation on line.

  Floor - Forward roll to stand on floor, backward roll on incline to feet, tucked handstand facing wall, cartwheel over box with straight legs, attempt cartwheel on floor, straddle roll to straddle sit, leap over object 1 foot to 1 foot.

  Trampoline - seat drop to feet, 10 controlled jumps with arm circles, jump full turn, pike jump, hand and knee drop, jump combinations, seat drop 1/2 turn to feet,  hand and knee drop to front drop (no bounce), back drop onto mat.

Tumble Trainers

Burgundy

  Vault - 10 consecutive 2 foot springs forwards/backwards, landing F/B from knee height, jump to vault, straight jump off.

  Bars - Various grips in long hang 3 seconds, tuck, pike, straddle sole hang.

  Beam - Forwards/backwards landings from medium beam, variations of walks.

  Floor - Prone fall from knees, star jump, tuck jump.

  Trampoline- Stop bounce, shaped jumps, seat drop, hands and knee drop.

Red

  Vault - 3-5 step run and 2 foot take off from beat board to straight jump, tuck and star jumps from knee height.

  Bars - Front support swings (hips on bar), glide swings backwards, jump to front support from stand with straight arms.

  Beam - Straight jump on medium beam, walking variations, turn preparation.

  Floor - Standing prone fall to mat, jump 1/2 turn controlled landing, jump to momentary tucked handstand.

  Trampoline - 1/2 turn jumps, series of shaped jumps.

Tan

  Vault - Forward/backward landing from chest- height, run to hurdle to 2 foot take off from beat board to straight jump, jump from beat board to waist height without hands. 

  Bars - Front support swing hips off bar, glide hang 3 seconds, small long hang swing to rear dismount landing.

  Beam - Landings from chest- height, shape jumps on line and low beam.

  Floor - Momentary handstand to lunge, forward roll from knee height, small dive roll over object, backward shoulder roll, straddled backward roll down incline to stand, almost vertical cartwheel.

  Trampoline - Seat drop 1/2 turn to feet, hand and knee drop, stomach drop and back drop to mat, 1/2 turn seat drop.

Bronze

  Vault - Pike jumps from knee- height, consecutive wall rebounds, squat on various positions.

  Bars - underswing, pullover, glide swing back and forth, rear support.

  Beam - V-sit, chasse, pivot turns, landings from head height or higher.

  Floor - Two point balance roll out, headstand roll out, forward shoulder roll, dive rolls, straight cartwheel, jump 1/2 turn.

  Trampoline - Pike jump with horizontal legs, swivel hips.

Purple

  Vault - Hands to feet springing, run 20m at fast speed, hollow body rocks, squat on box with immediate jump off.

  Bars - Glide to pike and hold toes at bar, casts to bar level, inverted hang, beat swings.

  Beam - Jump to support from floor to beam, forward and backward scale leg at 45 degrees, consecutive straight jumps, running length of beam.

  Floor - Momentary handstand roll out, handstand against wall with step out, baby bridge, backward roll to front support, power hurdle, dive roll onto height, cartwheel on a line,  round-off from stand on floor.

  Trampoline - Seat drop routine, no bounce front drop, no bounce back drop, jump 1/1 turn.

Blue

  Vault - Squat over horse, straddle over horse, handspring over box.

  Bars - Jump to straddle on dismount, pullover, back-hip circle, long hang swing to feet.

  Beam - Stride leap low beam, jump to straight or straddle support, pivot turns while traveling, run with long steps.

  Floor - Step to stag leap, handstand hold roll out, 1/2 turn held 1-foot landing, handstand hops, piked B.roll, bridge with straight arms, hurdle to round-off.

  Trampoline - no bounce back drop,  front drop, roller.

Turquoise

  Vault - Jumping over box straight body, jump handstand fall to back on mat.

  Bars - Front support swing to straddle on underswing dismount, long hang swing 1/2 turn, swing to land on back on mats.

  Beam - Momentary handstand, chasse length of beam, skipping high beam, round-off dismount beam, stride leap.

  Floor - Bridge straight arms and legs, B. extension down incline, dive cartwheel, cartwheel to handstand roll out, power hurdle round-off to rebound.

  Trampoline - seat drop, front drop, back drop.

Trampoline Classes

  Tumbling - Cartwheel on line, straight handstand, roll out of various skills, round-off to stomach,  handstand fall to bridge position, backwards roll on floor,  jump from height rebound to dive roll, assisted back handspring

  Double mini - 1 foot hops on each leg, pike, tuck and straddle, 1/2 twist, 1/1 twist, front tuck dismount assisted

  Trampoline - Shape jumps with stretch and press, determine and know direction of twist, swivel hips, seat drop roll to hand and knee roll to seat drop, roller, front drop, back drop, optional 5 skill routine
