Team Saskatchewan Wins Multiple Medals In Florida!! Gymnastics Saskatchewan Men's Artistic gymnasts attended the Whitlow Invitational gymnastics competition in Florida over the weekend. The Men's team of 8 athletes identified for the 2011 Canada Winter Games are in preparation for their team and individual event where they will represent Saskatchewan next February. Saskatoon's Curtis Graves (Taiso Gymnastics) won two medals in individual events including gold on Rings and bronze on Horizontal Bar. Graves would put together a solid performance en route to a 6th place All Around finish in Level 10 (the highest competition level) and missing the podium by a mere 1.05 total points. Regina's Joel Gagnon, a member of the Queen City Kinsmen Gymnastics Club won two gold medals in the Level 8 category. Gagnon shined, winning the Floor and Horizontal Bar events. He finished 5th All Around being edged by his own teammate, Saskatoon's Teague King who was 4th. King followed him winning silver on High Bar for a Saskatchewan first and second finish. Also winning a silver was Regina's Tanner Samwald who scored a 13.150 on Vault. Samwald would finish 13th All Around. Team Sask was also represented by Keith Boyle (Saskatoon), 15th All Around; Wyatt Tyndall (Saskatoon), 17th All Around; Tyler Montgomery (Saskatoon), 19th All Around; and Nicolas Hallgrimson (Saskatoon), 23rd All Around.
